On Any Website

The StreamVine player can be hosted anywhere – including your own website or your client’s site. Embedding the player is as easy as putting a YouTube video on your site, and in no time will you be able to use information supplied from your users, CRM system, or Facebook to personalize the video streams to any site visitor.

If your site features a login (for customers, members, etc.) then you can use any of that login data (such as a name, location, shopping cart contents, past purchases, etc.) to customize video streams.

Do you have a customer database tied to your site?  Simply pipe in values from the database into the player for customization.

Facebook Open Graph API

If you have no data of your own, you can simply connect the StreamVine player to Facebook’s data store and use the Open Graph protocol to supply the data. The video stream will then morph to your visitor’s own Facebook profile data.In order to enable further instant personalization for StreamVine video streams, it is possible to connect the StreamVine player directly to the Facebook user profile of the website visitor.

Facebook’s requirements demand that a personalization with the Open Graph data collects user consent before granting access, and access is only ever given to one domain at a time – so setting up StreamVine to use Open Graph is slightly more involved than the standard hosting.

That said, we have written most of the code and how-to information to make it a snap.
